Residential
Our residential building experience is expansive. As the General Contractor building single family homes or as the Construction Manager of massive community development projects like Dockside Green we are proud members of the teams that have redefined the urban residential landscape of our modern communities. Our more recently completed residential projects include the Shoal Point development at the gateway to Victoria’s Inner Harbour, The Juliet downtown Victoria and phase 1 of Aquattro on the Esquimalt Lagoon in Colwood British Columbia.
Institutional
Structures that are integral parts of our government and public infrastructure communities include educational facilities, hospitals and correctional facilities. Some of our larger projects include the development of the University of Victoria’s Engineering and Computer Science Building, the Royal Jubilee Hospital and the restoration of the historic Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Facility.
Commercial and Office
Commercial enterprises can become landmarks that define a cityscape where business and commerce is conducted.
Often one of the more interesting and challenging aspects of multi-story construction is the work in the ground. Our experienced associates are capable of creating “in-house” much of the conceptual design associated with the shoring, underpinning and seismic restraint anchors commonly required for these types of structures, thus enabling us to minimize the time and cost to complete this work.
Special Projects
We specialize in training Estimators, Project Managers and Field Supervisors to service our clients’ needs in areas such as renovations, restorations and heritage reproductions. The Farmer Group company crews have the expertise to service a variety of projects like retail and commercial tenant improvements and interior and exterior renovations to all building types, including Institutional, Commercial or Residential envelope repair, balcony replacements and window fenestration. Our experience extends also to the installation of computer manufacturing “Clean Rooms” and building seismic upgrades.
